“We Gotta Let Em Go”!!

Clint Eastwood, a quintessential, Hollywood conservative “tough guy,” made his mark at the GOP convention with one of the more memorable lines of the night. He said:

“When somebody does not do the job, we gotta let em go”!! That sentence drew sustained applause from the conservative faithful. Truth was spoken there.

Marco Rubio laid out the case for a Romney presidency and then came Romney.

Romney is dignified. That’s what we want in our president. He is presidential. That’s what we want in our president. He has compassion for others. That’s what we want in our president. He has a “right thinking” mind and is truthful. That’s what we want in our president. He recognizes and supports American exceptionalism. That’s what we want in our president.

Mitt is humble, prayerful, yet confident and competent. That’s what we want in our president. He recognizes this country as an inspired one with God at the helm. That’s what we want in our president. He encourages individual accomplishment and initiative through hard work. That’s what we want in our president.

President Obama, however, is a different cookie in the cookie jar. He is not presidential, he is slick. He’s not dignified, he’s full of egotistical swagger. He’s not humble—he has a lopsided, inflated sense of self-importance. He may or may not be compassionate but certainly he is not right thinking. He does not recognize “American exceptionalism.” He wants this country to be equal in stature with all others.

God has so ordained America to be different from the rest of the world.

That is why the weary, hungry and tired come to America because they know they have a fair chance of making it here. If America was equal in stature with all other countries, coming here to improve your personal and/or family life would make little difference, right?

If we were on equal footing with all other countries, those weary, tired and hungry could leave their country and go to Ecuador, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Costa Rica or Ireland. These countries are mostly good. However, America is great. America has exceptionalism built into herself because of God and the foreordained purposes He has for this nation.

Part of America’s inspired purpose is to be a beacon of light to those who choose to legally come to her shores. To have equal opportunity to pursue happiness. To have equal opportunity to have a happy life with liberty attached to it.

That’s not what Obama wants for you and I. He wants us to be shackled with indebtedness, both spiritual and temporal. He wants us to slide deeper into socialism, not prosperity through capitalism. He wants the wrong things for America and I think he knows it.

By the way, if Obama believes in being his brother’s keeper, why isn’t he helping to take care of his step-brother George? After all, he’s family, right? Instead of Obama helping his brother, an author named Dinesh D’Souza sent Obama’s stepbrother $1000.00 for his son’s surgery. That should tell you something about D’Souza.  Does that tell you something about this cocky, self-centered, narcicisstic president?

It will “make my day”, as Clint Eastwwod would say, once the voters of this great land have their say in November and release this incompetent, free spending president from his high office duties and replace him with Mitt Romney.

“When somebody does not do the job, we gotta let em go.”

The First Full Night 8/28

Wow!! The first night of the GOP Convention was a killer of an evening! Ted Cruz, Mia Love, Rick Santorum, Ann Romney and Chris Christie. What a dinner and prime time lineup!

There was an air of urgency yet focused optimism to complete the tasks we must to save America. This excitement extended beyond a typical GOP Convention spirit. This opening night had purpose. The purpose of taking America back. Of recognizing again, party philosophical roots and American exceptionalism. Recognizing that Mitt Romney is the individual that will extricate us from this fiscal and moral American nightmare.  A distant memory this terrible tragedy will be as we do our part through the principle of hard work, great decisions and continued love for and committment to America.

I thought Ann Romney’s comments humanizing Mitt were just right. In describing her husband’s desire to help others she said this:

“Mitt doesn’t like to talk about helping others because he sees it as a privilege not a political talking point.”

What does that indicate to you? I’ll tell you what it indicates to me. It indicates a deep sense of humility. The type of humility you feel as you work with God to help others. When you work with God to help others, for the right reasons, you do consider it a privilege, no matter what your station in life may be. When you allow God to use you as an instrument to get things done for or to help others, it is a privilege. That’s why Mitt does things quietly, without fanfare; because He loves his God.

Rep. Artur Davis recently converted from the Democrat to Rebublican Party. In his speech early Tuesday evening at the convention, he said that there was a “moral case for free enterprise”. He stated that thus far there were “lessons learned” during the Obama administration and that in 2012 this “mistake” would be “corrected” with the election of Mitt Romney as President Of The United States.

Governor Chris Christie hit an out of the park homerun with his keynote address. He discussed many of the values Pepublicans cherish and stated that the “era of absentee leadership” on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was over. He proclaimed Mitt Romney knew how to help us all get out of the severe quagmire this nation is in. I happen to agree 1000%.

No One Else But Missourians

This Todd Akin thing has worn me out and is a very disturbing trend with establishment Republicans.  For the life of me I cannot figure out why this has dragged on and on. Akin has apologized for the gaffe he made; times 100. Now the story has 17 layers of garbage connected to it that matter; how?

It is the people who live in the state of Missouri that decide whether Todd Akin goes to the Senate or not. No one else. We have the right and the responsibility to judge his character and determine the degree of his honesty and conservative principles. We choose  whether Todd Akin is fit to serve the people of Missouri or not. No one else. And that goes for any state in the union.

Look, politically he shot himself in one foot. We don’t need the RNC, or any other national figure, to take their political guns out and shoot him in the other foot. How infantile is that; to help create the walking wounded amongst your own?

The RNC and others of national prominence should not interfere with the sovereign right Missourians have to elect or not elect those who have chosen to run for office. The RNC has done enough and said enough. Akin has done enough and said enough. The political  games stop here and now. I repeat, the political games stop here and now.

Akin has the best chance of defeating Claire McCaskill in this Missouri Senate race. Let’s work while we can Missourians and strive to get the Senate back.

Crist Endorsement And Budget Thoughts

On one hand it could mean something. On the other hand it could mean nothing. No, I’m not talking about Hurricane Issac hitting Florida shores and affecting the Republican convention in Tampa. I’m talking about former Governor Charlie Crist coming out of nowhere and endorsing Obama for re-election the day before that convention. You have got to be kidding me.

Floridians, watch out. This last minute tactic provides for drama but little substance for the president or Crist. Think Crist might be offered a Cabinet position? Being with Charlie Crist the day before the start of the republican convention means little. Don’t fall for his fangled speech Floridians.

I can understand Crist’s disgust with so called establishment republican politics. He dislikes it so much that he officially becomes an independent. I get that. I’m all for independence. But to call Obama “the right leader for our times” and to back Obama’s irrational, intentional, unjustified spending spree of taxpayer dollars? Absolutely not.

Instead, guess what happened? Mr. Crist gets a place at the podium when the Democrats convene for their convetion starting Sept.4th.  Think that was a backdoor move!

I have a budget. I need to stay within the parameters my budget allows. I must be wise and prudent in my personal spending. Where’s the United States budget? Where’s the stewardship of US citizen taxpayer monies? Our president has been having a four year party on steroids at the expense of the next several generations of United States citizens. Either he doesn’t recognize this is the case or he does and it matters not to him. I believe it matters not to him. Isn’t that a terrible way to feel? To leave several generations holding the bag when you could have done something significant about it? To want to be everything to everyone but being spread out too thin to satisfy anyone? Personality disorder here? Just saying.

Something to think about as we start the winding down scenes of this political cycle.

Thank You Tampa!

I would personally like to thank those businesses in Tampa, Florida which chose to refrain from billboard advertising either Mitt Romney’s religion or Barack Obama religion, as the convention approaches. This is wise.

While we, as Americans, have the God-given right to use the freedom of speech doctrine within the confines the Constitution describes, there is something else of synonomous, if not paramount importance here. That is the proper use of wisdom. In this case, proper wisdom supercedes the use of freedom of speech rights so urgently felt by Mr. Sullivan, a nationwide spokesman for an atheist group which put up billboards in Charolette, North Carolina disparaging Mormonism, Mitt Romney’s religion. It was unwise, unkind and a see through tactic providing additional distraction from the real issues at hand.

This was, and is, a politically childish move. As a human being, it is inhumane to degrade another and their spirit. Using religion to attack a candidate in this way, no matter who it is, is a backdoor approach for political suicide. I believe Obama is helping to cut his own throat by allowing such behavior to occur. Whether this be done directly by the candidates or indirectly by others professing usage of the freedom of speech provision within our inspired Constitution, is totally inappropriate.

Thank you Tampa, Florida, for seeing through the garbage and having the morals to stand up and say “not here”. Thank you very much.

Let it be known, through full disclosure, I am a proud and happy member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, sometimes referred to as Mormons. I live my religion the best way I know how and encourage anyone who wants to know more, to talk to someone who is a member of the church.

Thank you again, Tampa. I look forward to watching, with excitement, the convention. I am grateful to you for choosing and doing the right thing.

And that’s Valenti’s View.

Religious Liberty Anew

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Since the birth of our exceptional nation, religious freedom has been an integral part of our national character and identity. Unfortunately, vigorous attacks on this liberty have become commonplace. Without autonomy to worship according to the dictates of ones’ own conscience, we lie on perilous ground, next to spiritual wolves, to be had for dinner.

In 1789, while speaking to the Quaker Sparks Society, George Washington articulated our natural, God given right to religious liberty:

“The liberty enjoyed by the people of these [United] states of worshiping Almighty God agreeably to their consciences, is not only among the choicest of their blessings, but also of their rights.”

Our paper money and coinage have the phrase “In God We Trust.” Most, if not all individual state senates and Houses of Representatives along with both federal chambers, have chaplains. These chaplains seek daily guidance and approbation from Deity for government work to be undertaken and accomplished that day.

The United States Supreme Court has humbly burnt into its institutional memory the indispensable assistance of Almighty God. The Marshall of the Supreme Court declares,  before the start of all calendared sessions of oral argument, the phrase “God save the United States and this Honorable Court.”

In the high court case of Marsh v. Chambers in 1983, the issue was whether the Nebraska Legislature’s chaplaincy practice violated the establishment clause. The answer was no, it did not violate the establishment clause.

Chief Justice Warren Burger authored this 6-3 opinion for the majority. It said, in part:

“The practice of opening sessions of Congress with prayer has continued without interruption for almost 200 years, ever since the First Congress drafted the First Amendment, and a similar practice has been followed for more than a century in Nebraska and many other states. While historical patterns, standing alone, cannot justify contemporary violations of constitutional guarantees, historical evidence in the context of this case, sheds light not only on what the drafters of the First Amendment intended the Establishment Clause to mean, but also on how they thought that Clause applied to the chaplaincy practice authorized by the First Congress.” Chaplaincy “had become part of the fabric of society“, held the Burger court.

In his book “The 5000 Year Leap”, Dr. W. Cleon Skousen lists twenty eight principles, which our Founding Fathers supported, to govern our nation properly. Principle number four states:

“Without religion the government of a free people cannot be maintained”.

George Washington has testified of this principle:

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports…. And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.”

What does this mean? Washington seems to be saying that religion and morality are “indispensible supports” to the prosperity of the United States of America. Without the two pillars of religion and morality, the nation would fall apart. Our nation would crumble because of our lack of humility before God and obedience to Him. We must remain a virtuous people and, hence, elect virtuous leaders.

Washington warns us in the second part of that phrase “And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.” What does that mean?

Have you ever heard of someone saying: “I can be moral without being religious?” Why is that an untrue statement? It is an untrue statement because morality is rooted in religion and its practice. Morality grows out of religion. Morality is not an independent “feature” that stands alone. It is naturally inter-dependent, with religion being its father.

Without religion and belief in a higher power one remains constantly confused on how to act when faced with moral choices. The recognition that certain choices are moral ones, may not even be cognizable to some individuals.

Imagine being tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine; not knowing where to stand on any moral issue; having no guidance from God; spiritually lacking, perhaps even empty. That would be horrible. One may do financially well in life, and that’s great, but, concerning the things which matter most, if there is no oil in the lamp, it availeth you nothing.

I eagerly recommend the purchase of “The 5000 Year Leap” book by Dr. Skousen. It’s an easy read that simply explains the Constitution of our land through twenty eight principles endorsed by our raised up founding fathers.

May we be wise enough to recognize the proper role all of us play in keeping this exceptional nation strong. May God bless each of us with the courage to proceed with our unique contributions to the cause of God inspired freedom and religious liberty.

America’s Most Biblically Hostile President

The following information is Valenti’s View as well. This information is from David Barton, well known historian and acclaimed author. He is an occasional guest on the Glenn Beck Television Program. This article is titled: “America’s Most Biblically Hostile President.” I take no credit for this article. It is authored by David Barton. However, I affiliate myself with the facts Mr. Barton has produced. Another words, I believe the research he has conducted.

Endnotes are provided at the end of this article.

America’s Most Biblically-Hostile U. S. President

When one observes President Obama’s unwillingness to accommodate America’s four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct.

Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate.

He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular. So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipathy toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor.

In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.

Listed below in chronological order are (1) numerous records of his attacks on Biblical persons or organizations; (2) examples of the hostility toward Biblical faith that have become evident in the past three years in the Obama-led military; (3) a listing of his open attacks on Biblical values; and finally (4) a listing of numerous incidents of his preferential deference for Islam’s activities and positions, including letting his Islamic advisors guide and influence his hostility toward people of Biblical faith.

1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:

  • April 2008 – Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like them.” 1
  • February 2009 – Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011. 2
  • April 2009 – When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered when he is making his speech. 3
  • May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House. 4
  • April 2009 – In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three. 5
  • October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions. 6
  • November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law. 7
  • January 2011 – After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court. 8
  • February 2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress. 9
  • April 2011 – For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring. 10
  • August 2011 – The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception. 11
  • November 2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial. 12
  • November 2011 – Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech. 13
  • December 2011 – The Obama administration denigrates other countries’ religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights. 14
  • January 2012 – The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis. 15
  • February 2012 – The Obama administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion. 16

2. Acts of hostility from the Obama-led military toward people of Biblical faith:

  • June 2011 – The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery. 17
  • August 2011 – The Air Force stops teaching the Just War theory to officers in California because the course is taught by chaplains and is based on a philosophy introduced by St. Augustine in the third century AD – a theory long taught by civilized nations across the world (except America). 18
  • September 2011 – Air Force Chief of Staff prohibits commanders from notifying airmen of programs and services available to them from chaplains. 19
  • September 2011 – The Army issues guidelines for Walter Reed Medical Center stipulating that “No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading materials and/or facts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.” 20
  • November 2011 – The Air Force Academy rescinds support for Operation Christmas Child, a program to send holiday gifts to impoverished children across the world, because the program is run by a Christian charity. 21
  • November 2011 – The Air Force Academy pays $80,000 to add a Stonehenge-like worship center for pagans, druids, witches and Wiccans. 22
  • February 2012 – The U. S. Military Academy at West Point disinvites three star Army general and decorated war hero Lieutenant General William G. (“Jerry”) Boykin (retired) from speaking at an event because he is an outspoken Christian. 23
  • February 2012 – The Air Force removes “God” from the patch of Rapid Capabilities Office (the word on the patch was in Latin: Dei). 24
  • February 2012 – The Army orders Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read. 25

3. Acts of hostility toward Biblical values:

  • January 2009 – Obama lifts restrictions on U.S. government funding for groups that provide abortion services or counseling abroad, forcing taxpayers to fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations. 26
  • January 2009 – President Obama’s nominee for deputy secretary of state asserts that American taxpayers are required to pay for abortions and that limits on abortion funding are unconstitutional. 27
  • March 2009 – The Obama administration shut out pro-life groups from attending a White House-sponsored health care summit. 28
  • March 2009 – Obama orders taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research. 29
  • March 2009 – Obama gave $50 million for the UNFPA, the UN population agency that promotes abortion and works closely with Chinese population control officials who use forced abortions and involuntary sterilizations. 30
  • May 2009 – The White House budget eliminates all funding for abstinence-only education and replaces it with “comprehensive” sexual education, repeatedly proven to increase teen pregnancies and abortions. 31 He continues the deletion in subsequent budgets. 32
  • May 2009 – Obama officials assemble a terrorism dictionary calling pro-life advocates violent and charging that they use racism in their “criminal” activities. 33
  • July 2009 – The Obama administration illegally extends federal benefits to same-sex partners of Foreign Service and Executive Branch employees, in direct violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 34
  • September 16, 2009 – The Obama administration appoints as EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum, who asserts that society should “not tolerate” any “private beliefs,” including religious beliefs, if they may negatively affect homosexual “equality.” 35
  • July 2010 – The Obama administration uses federal funds in violation of federal law to get Kenya to change its constitution to include abortion. 36
  • August 2010 – The Obama administration cuts funding for 176 abstinence education programs. 37
  • September 2010 – The Obama administration tells researchers to ignore a judge’s decision striking down federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. 38
  • February 2011 – Obama directs the Justice Department to stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 39
  • March 2011 – The Obama administration refuses to investigate videos showing Planned Parenthood helping alleged sex traffickers get abortions for victimized underage girls. 40
  • July 2011 – Obama allows homosexuals to serve openly in the military, reversing a policy originally instituted by George Washington in March 1778. 41
  • September 2011 – The Pentagon directs that military chaplains may perform same-sex marriages at military facilities in violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 42
  • October 2011 – The Obama administration eliminates federal grants to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their extensive programs that aid victims of human trafficking because the Catholic Church is anti-abortion. 43

4. Acts of preferentialism for Islam:

  • May 2009 – While Obama does not host any National Day of Prayer event at the White House, he does host White House Iftar dinners in honor of Ramadan. 44
  • April 2010 – Christian leader Franklin Graham is disinvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer Event because of complaints from the Muslim community. 45
  • April 2010 – The Obama administration requires rewriting of government documents and a change in administration vocabulary to remove terms that are deemed offensive to Muslims, including jihad, jihadists, terrorists, radical Islamic, etc. 46
  • August 2010 – Obama speaks with great praise of Islam and condescendingly of Christianity. 47
  • August 2010 – Obama went to great lengths to speak out on multiple occasions on behalf of building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero, while at the same time he was silent about a Christian church being denied permission to rebuild at that location. 48
  • 2010 – While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha. 49
  • October 2011 – Obama’s Muslim advisers block Middle Eastern Christians’ access to the White House. 50
  • February 2012 – The Obama administration makes effulgent apologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, 51 but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do. 52

Many of these actions are literally unprecedented – this is the first time they have happened in four centuries of American history. The hostility of President Obama toward Biblical faith and values is without equal from any previous American president.

Lies Anyone? Serving Them For Dinner!

I want to pueke, again!!

Barack Obama’s minion, Harry Reid, has implied Mitt Romney is a tax cheat. Romney has been forecasted by others as a felon and even a woman hater! Recently Mitt became a murderer by implication and gossip. Gossip is vicious, potentially injurious and destructive. It reaks with the spirit of tearing down someone.

Some dipstick in an Obama favored super pac campaign commercial was the implier of such gossip. I wonder if I can say, that in this case, if you imply, you lie?

Oh, and don’t forget, Ann Romney was just a Mom. Excuse me, what are these pinheads talking about? Just a mom? She has the most important job in all mankind, raising children and influencing grandchildren to have well-adjusted lives in preparation for the real adult world.

The media and others downplay and even degrade and disrespect mothers for staying home to rear stable children with standards that will bless their towns, cities and even our nation. The choice to be a full time Mom  should never feel like a second or third rate choice. It is a first rate choice because children come first. Strong families with worthwhile values keep The United States Of America strong.

I know there are mothers who either choose to work or must work through necessity or family adaptation. I get that. My point however, was that full time mothers should be treated with dignity and respect for the choices they make for their children and their home.

Well, let’s see; Mitt is not a felon. He has always paid his taxes. He has given over 3 million dollars to charity in 2011 alone. Do Mitt and Ann put their money where their mouths are and help others?  Think so. Wonder what Barack and Michelle gave in 2011 to help others? Or is it Michelle and Barack? Just saying.

Mitt has never murdered anyone, by implication, destructive gossip or otherwise. If he did, Mitt would be wearing a penitentiary jumpsuit, serving prison time somewhere instead of running for the penitentiary in Washington, D.C. whose address happens to be 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Mitt has been married to his one wife, Ann, for, I believe, 42 years. They have five sons and Ann Romney has raised them well. All five of them are positive contributors to society. They have oodles of grandkids and they all love each other. Pretty good, huh?

Mitt is clean cut and deeply religious. He served as a missionary for two years in France working with people who wanted to know more about Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Mitt is a qualified businessman. He has turned companies around and is a job creator. He fixed the mess the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics were in. Now, he wants to help the nation get itself out of its current fiscal quagmire. Gee, I think he just wants to serve the country he loves for the right reasons.

My guess is that Mitt will not accept the yearly presidential salary of $400,000.00. That will save the country $1.6 million in government salary over his first four years.

I think people are beginning to see the desperation the Obama people have. They can’t find anything on Romney because his life has been a clean one.  Not perfect but clean.

So, guess what? Things have been made up out of thin air to get the nation gossiping instead of talking about real issues that matter. Once we, the people, demand that Obama be honest with this nation instead of circumventing topics that have meat on their bones, we’ll see him lose in November.

If Obama talks about his record, he and his campaign strategists know they will fall into a figurative vat of quicksand and forever disappear from the electoral scene. Obama has no record to run on.

While smooth in his appearance and charismatic in his  presentations, Obama’s Marxist preferences, misguided thinking and zero leadership skills, have been, and still are, corrosive for the country.

What would the founding fathers think of this moral and fiscal crisis? They would want to correct this course immediately. This is not the government the United States of America and its people should be happy with.  The United States will be restored to its greatness. Mitt Romney can do that.

And that’s Valenti’s View for you.

PRINCIPLES IN THE BOOK “THE 5000 YEAR LEAP”

This book is a principle based approach to the Constitution of The United States of America. It’s author, W. Cleon Skousen and his staff, have sourced hundreds of pages of our founding fathers writings. Hence, this simple, principle based method for understanding our sacred, national document.

Our manuscript of national governance only works as we remain active in educating ourselves and others on its true meaning and purpose. Hence, here are the 28 principles our founding fathers wholeheartedly supported to govern The United States properly.

Principle 1 – The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.

Principle 2 – A free people cannot survive under a republican constitution unless they remain virtuous and morally strong.

Principle 3 – The most promising method of securing a virtuous people is to elect virtuous leaders.

Principle 4 Without religion the government of a free people cannot be maintained.

Principle 5 All things were created by God, therefore upon him all mankind are equally dependent, and to him they are equally responsible.

Principle 6 – All mankind were created equal.

Principle 7 – The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.

Principle 8 – Mankind are endowed by God with certain unalienable rights.

Principle 9 – To protect human rights, God has revealed a code of divine law.

Principle 10 – The God-given right to govern is vested in the sovereign authority of the whole people.

Principle 11 The majority of the people may alter or abolish a government which has become tyrannical.

Principle 12 -The United States of America shall be a republic.

Principle 13 – A Constitution should protect the people from the frailties of their rulers.

Principle 14 -Life and liberty are secure only so long as the rights of property are secure.

Principle 15 – The highest level of prosperity occurs when there is a free-market economy and a minimum of government regulations.

Principle 16 – The government should be separated into three branches.

Principle 17 – A system of checks and balances should be adopted to prevent the abuse of power by the different branches of government.

Principle 18 – The unalienable rights of the people are most likely to be preserved if the principles of government are set forth in a written Constitution.

Principle 19 – Only limited and carefully defined powers should be delegated to government, all others being retained by the people.

Principle 20 – Efficiency and dispatch require that the government operate according to the will of the majority, but constitutional provisions must be made to protect the rights of the minority.

Principle 21 Strong local self-government is the keystone to preserving human freedom.

Principle 22 – A free people should be governed by law and not by the whims of men.

Principle 23 – A free society cannot survive as a republic without a broad program of general education.

Principle 24 – A free people will not survive unless they stay strong.

Principle 25 – “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none.”

Principle 26 – The core unit which determines the strength of any society is the family; therefore the government should foster and protect its integrity.

Principle 27 The burden of debt is as destructive to human freedom as subjugation by conquest.

Principle 28 – The United States has a manifest destiny to eventually become a glorious example of God’s law under a restored Constitution that will inspire the entire human race.

“The 5000 Year Leap”, by W. Cleon Skousen, is a simple, understandable read for those, teenagers on up, who wish to leapfrog into comprehending the principles of the Constitution.

A Preface To Principles Of Liberty

There are twenty eight principles of freedom and liberty our founding fathers wholeheartedly supported to govern this nation properly. These principles must be understood and perpetuated by every people who desire peace, prosperity and freedom.

It is urgent these principles be considered by the current generation and every generation thereafter; to keep the light of freedom burning bright forever in America.

These 28 principles are laid out in a book titled “The 5000 Year Leap” by W. Cleon Skousen. This principle based approach to our constitution helps explain the conundrum we currently face with all levels of government and why we must revert to principles our founding fathers originally established and deemed vital for this country.

Refusal to learn and apply these principles adopted by the founders will continue to cause the United States pain, anguish and dysfunction at every level of government.

Moreover, it is good for everyone to become familiar with these principles. The 5000 Year Leap was written for the purpose of helping the electorate [you and I], recognize true principles under which our constitutional government must operate.

One of the twenty eight principles detailed in The 5000 Year Leap is the value of a strong, local government and the vital role localities have in solutions to their problems. The closer to home the answers are the better off the nation will be.

Familiarity with these principles will foster a deeper love for our country. Let us latch on to the inspired thinking and action of our founding fathers.

American conservative columnist George Will has spoken of a type of liberalism in current American culture called “supervisory liberalism.” That means that we, the American people, do not know what is in our best interest and it is the job of the government to tell us what is.

Mr. Will and his definition of supervisory liberalism is correct. This type of liberalism does not work because it is akin to a socialistic or communistic approach to local, state or federal concerns.

“Supervisory liberalism” is totally contrary to the principles of freedom and liberty. It is not what America is about. It is not what our founding fathers stood for.

We are experiencing a portion of “supervisory liberalism” now. An excellent example of it is that in one state, Missouri, 71% of Missourians rejected Obamacare. That’s an overwhelming majority, 71%.Yet that amount of rejection by the people of Missouri meant nothing because of “supervisory liberalism” practiced by our current president.

The 5000 Year Leap can help us recognize these trends. It can help us convey our concerns with confidence to our leaders. I recommend its purchase. Search for its availability in a local bookstore or talk to the committee chairman of your county for its location.
