The Have Nots of Saul Alinsky Become the Haves

An interesting note here:

In Saul Alinsky’s book “RULES FOR RADICALS”,  the book has been dedicated to LUCIFER. Another name for Lucifer would be SATAN. Another name given by the scriptures is SON OF THE MORNING.  Glenn Beck has recently authenticated the dedication of this book to such an evil source by Alinsky.

We now know who Saul Alinsky worshiped; the father of all lies, the master of deceit and misery, the cold, calculating and callous creator of envy and evil, SATAN himself.

Do not be surprised that as you read Alinsky’s book you feel negative emotions throughout it. That is because his methods are evil and bear only destruction to those who follow the path Lucifer has laid out. Satan is just as real as God is. Be careful not to tarry too long in such things.           Jim  Valenti

Saul Alinsky the political thinker who seems to have had more impact on President Obama than any other was very clear in his most important book about what his motives were and what he was aiming at, “What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. ‘The Prince’ was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. ‘Rules for Radicals’ is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.”

With the November Revolution of 2008 which gave us one party rule for two years the Progressive Democrat party saw their chance and they took it.  Within the two years it took for the people to realize they needed some balance the Progressives passed Obamacare which effectively gives government control of 1/6 of the economy.  They passed Dodd-Frank which gives them extensive control over the financial sector.  When they couldn’t push Cap-N-Trade even through a rubber-stamp Congress the President imposed it by executive order.  When they likewise failed to muster enough of their own hacks to pass the Dream Act once again it was imposed by fiat.

The anti-capitalist programs of the Progressive Bush Administration’s final days were continued and amplified by the Obama Administration.  TARP was followed by the Stimulus.  The takeover of AIG was joined by the take-over of the auto industry and by force feeding money into the economy for years of quantitative easing as the casino we call the stock market soars.

Unemployment reporting has become totally unhinged from reality as the real rate stays at levels which would easily shine the light of truth on the fiction of a recovery.

According to the government’s own Bureau of Labor Statistics the real unemployment rate (U-6) has been continuously above 13 % for the last year.  This information is readily available (one click of the mouse) and yet the media (including Fox) have told us day-by-day that it is falling and is now down to 7.2.  This typifies the manufactured reality the federal government and the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media shovel into the public trough.  If the plagiarized opinions I hear my fellow citizens share everyday are any indication the average person accepts the fiction as reality.

New research from the Republicans on the Senate Budget Committee shows that over the last five years, the U.S. has spent about $3.7 trillion on welfare.

“We have just concluded the 5th fiscal year since President Obama took office. During those five years, the federal government has spent a total $3.7 trillion on approximately 80 different means-tested poverty and welfare programs. The common feature of means-tested assistance programs is that they are graduated based on a person’s income and, in contrast to programs like Social Security or Medicare, they are a free benefit and not paid into by the recipient,” says the minority side of the Senate Budget Committee.

The minority side also states that, “The enormous sum spent on means-tested assistance is nearly five times greater than the combined amount spent on NASA, education, and all federal transportation projects over that time.”  And the staggering sum of $3.7 trillion is not even the entire amount spent on federal poverty support, as states contribute more than $200 billion each year primarily in the form of free low-income health care.

The goal has always been to get enough people receiving benefits to out-vote the ones paying for the benefits.  In the fourth quarter of 2011, (the last full year for which statistics are available) 49.2 percent of Americans received benefits from one or more government programs, according to data released Tuesday by the Census Bureau.

In total, the Census Bureau estimated, 151,014,000 Americans out of a population then estimated to be 306,804,000 received benefits from one or more government programs during the last three months of 2011. Those 151,014,000 beneficiaries equaled 49.2 percent of the population.

This included 82,457,000 people–or 26.9 percent of the population–who lived in households in which one or more people received Medicaid benefits.

At the same time a large number of Americans no longer pay any federal taxes.  Even the Progressive Huffington Post states, “Some 76 million tax filers, or 46.4 percent of the total, will be exempt from federal income tax in 2011.” (Using the same year as a way of fair comparison)

Just imagine an undisciplined out-of-control shopaholic whose credit limit has just been extended. Now they can continue overspending without any accountability. That shopaholic is the U.S. government.

In the week since Congress reached a temporary deal to suspend the U.S. government’s debt ceiling the Treasury department has added another $375 billion in new debt.

The suspension of a cap on U.S. debt, which was previously fixed at $16.69 trillion, means the Treasury department can spend whatever amount of money it wants.

How much money will the U.S. government put on our grandchildren’s credit card by the next debt ceiling deadline? At the current rate of deficit spending which is $375 billion per week, U.S. public debt will reach $22.70 trillion by Feb. 7, 2014.

All these transfer payments impoverish the working middle class who pay the biggest share of their income in taxes and empower those who receive the benefits, often being the same ones who pay no taxes.  Thus the have nots become the haves fulfilling the goal of the Alinsky inspired community organizing program which has become Americas master plan.

As the have nots rise to become the haves and the haves descend to become the have nots the cycle repeats itself in an endless spiral of social warfare and the only ones who really benefit are those whose goal is power irrespective of who has what.

This is why the President and his advisors seem so oblivious to the turmoil and destruction the implementation of their plans cause.  The goal of the President and of the other Progressive leaders has always been universal single payer insurance no matter what they had to say to sell it.  Obamacare was always seen as a half-step in the direction of total government control.    So what do a few speed bumps along the way matter when the goal is to totally transform America?

Our current administration seems to have no respect for the law.

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) forbids the federal government from enforcing the law in any state that opted out of setting up its own health care exchange.

The Obama administration has ignored that part in the law, enforcing all of its provisions even in states where the federal government is operating the insurance marketplaces on the error-plagued website.

Thirty-six states chose not to set up their exchanges, a move that effectively froze Washington, D.C. out of the authority to pay subsidies and other pot-sweeteners to convince citizens in those states to buy medical insurance.  However, the IRS overstepped its authority promising to pay subsidies in those states anyway.

The imperious leaders of the have nots now have the government, and tradition, laws, and history all take a back seat to the alliance of Progressives who want to have it all.

Benghazi Witness ‘Morgan Jones’ Claims Attackers Said “We’re Here to Kill Americans”

by    of

An eyewitness, British citizen and security officer, who refers to himself as Morgan Jones, a pseudonym to protect his safety, says that the attackers said they attacked the diplomatic mission to “kill Americans, not Libyans.”

In an interview for 60 Minutes, Jones told Lara Logan that he was hired to train the Libyan guards at the mission. Jones said that he was concerned that the State Department would not allow his guards to carry guns.

As the attacks began, one of the guards Jones had trained called him.

Morgan Jones, a British citizen, had been hired to train the Libyan guards at the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Morgan Jones, a British citizen, had been hired to train the Libyan guards at the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

“I could hear gunshots, and I — and he said, ‘There’s — there’s men coming into the mission,'” Jones said. “His voice, he was — he was scared. You could tell he was really scared, and he was running. I could tell he was running.”

Jones says that his thought was for his American friend inside the annex.

Though he didn’t elaborate on who it was that he called, he did indicate that it was someone inside the compound.

“I said, ‘What’s going on?’ He said, ‘We’re getting attacked.’ And I said, ‘How many?’ And he said, ‘They’re all over the compound,'” Jones said. “And — I was shocked. I didn’t know what to say. And I said, ‘Well, just keep fighting. I’m on my way.'”

He then went on to expound upon what the attackers had apparently said as they were attacking.

“They said, ‘We’re here to kill Americans, not Libyans,’ so they’d give them a good beating, pistol whip them, beat them with their rifles and let them go,” Jones said.

The Accountability Review Board issued its report back in December 2012. It “found that certain senior State Department officials within two bureaus demonstrated a lack of proactive leadership and management ability in their responses to security concerns” in Benghazi.

The report went on to state that “findings of unsatisfactory leadership performance by senior officials” in relation to security “should be a potential basis for discipline recommendations.” So far, not one person has been held accountable for what took place in Benghazi, not one.

Clinton gave a speech at the University of Buffalo Wednesday which was interrupted by a man in the audience screaming, “Benghazi, Benghazi, you let them die!”

It was then State Secretary Hillary Clinton who appointed the ARB to investigate the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi that left four Americans dead and dozens wounded. Many have argued that this was a conflict of interest. I am one of them.

Freedom Outpost has reported that members of Al-Qaeda were allegedly involved in the security of the mission in Benghazi and that on the night of the attacks, there have been eyewitnesses that have claimed that former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi was involved. Documents to that effect have also been obtained from Libyan intelligence, confirming the claim.

Logan’s full interview will air on CBS this Sunday on 60 Minutes.

Michelle Obama’s College Classmate’s Firm Built Obamacare Website Disaster

by  of

In mid-October The Washington Examiner reported that Federal Officials only considered one firm to build the epic fail now known as When that story broke, you had to suspect that someone probably had a kickback coming. Richard Pollock reported on October 13th:

Federal officials considered only one firm to design the Obamacare health insurance exchange website that has performed abysmally since its Oct. 1 debut.

Rather than open the contracting process to a competitive public solicitation with multiple bidders, officials in the Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid accepted a sole bidder, CGI Federal, the U.S. subsidiary of a Canadian company with an uneven record of IT pricing and contract performance.

CMS officials are tight-lipped about why CGI was chosen or how it happened. They also refuse to say if other firms competed with CGI, or if there was ever a public solicitation for building, the backbone of Obamacare’s problem-plagued web portal.

*Emphasis added

Why was CGI chosen and how did this happen? Good question. Could it be that a certain First Lady might have had an inside track with that company?

That would never happen. This is surely coincidence. But even though it is probably coincidental it pains me to report that a college classmate of Michelle Obama just happens to be a high ranking executive at CGI.

The Daily Caller reports:

First Lady Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is a top executive at the company that earned the contract to build the failed Obamacare website.

Toni Townes-Whitley

Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website at CGI Federal is the U.S. arm of a Canadian company.

Townes-Whitley and her Princeton classmate Michelle Obama are both members of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni.

Toni Townes ’85 is a onetime policy analyst with the General Accounting Office and previously served in the Peace Corps in Gabon, West Africa. Her decision to return to work, as an African-American woman, after six years of raising kids was applauded by a Princeton alumni publication in 1998.

Do you remember the controversial stories of Michelle Obama struggling to find her place as a black woman in a white world? Here’s a quick reminder from Leon Puissegur:

Michelle Obama attends and promotes a “Black Solidarity” event for guest lecturer Manning Marable, who was, according to Cornel West, probably “the best known black Marxist in the country.” The event is the work of the Third World Center (TWC), a campus group whose board membership is exclusively reserved for minorities.

A classmate of Michelle’s identified her to TheBlaze as the second person on the left. Article/photograph taken from The Daily Princetonian – Vol. CVIII, No. 107 November 6, 1984

Even her thesis was about her “blackness.” Here is a quote from her groundbreaking racist work courtesy of Politico:

“My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my ‘blackness’ than ever before,” the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. “I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.”

I get her.

I understand.

She is so torn up with the plight of blacks, who have the misfortune of going to Princeton, that she had no choice here but to give one of her struggling Ivy-League educated unfortunates a leg up.

So she somehow threw a bone to a fellow black woman who just happened to have a job at a firm that was deemed capable of handling a 678 million dollar government contract. Whether she did it for the cleansing of her black soul or the joy of a kickback we may never know.

What we do know is that this would seem to fit with Michelle’s hatred for anyone who is not black and not socialist. I wonder if she hates Barry’s white side.

I wish she would show some sympathy for a white guy who was not smart enough or rich enough to go to Princeton. Princeton currently costs over $58,000 yearly to attend.

I am obviously having some fun with this but it’s very serious.

How stupid was it that only one bid was considered and how convenient is it that Mrs. Obama just happens to have ties to the company that was awarded this contract?

I’m not a computer guy, but I’m thinking that Microsoft or Apple, or even those guys who make World of Warcraft might have done one hell of a job on this site. They might have even been able to do it for less money, but then the First Lady may have had to forego her door prizes, and I’d hate to see that.

More information to help all decide for themselves regarding COMMON CORE. As for me and my house: ANTI  ANTI  ANTI  COMMON CORE.

federal government driven to indoctrinate our families

What is Common Core ?

Please spend a few short minutes learning about Common Core State Standards (CCSS) so you can make an informed choice about it. Coming Soon: Microchips In All Americans For Obamacare?

Article from

October 19, 2013

Written By Martin Defrancesco

Americans are apprehensive about a stipulation included in the Affordable Care Act which implies the future role of microchips in the world of health care. NBC aired a news special focusing on the new technology.

The report highlights advancements in the realm of biotechnology, not only in the health care industry, but across all walks of life. Included in the special are several clips of Americans using biotechnology in everyday life: paying for bills and opening deadbolts with the swipe of a fingerprint, or passing through airports with only a retinal scan for identity verification.

Researchers at the University of Bath, in London, even think we could label several everyday items obsolete with the help of such technology.

“It’s possible to free us completely of our wallets and keys using biometric technology, if thats what people want in ten years time.”

Americans seem to be happy with many of these biotechnological improvements. The idea of having a device implanted in their bodies, though, has many biblically paralleling the idea to “the mark of the beast” in the Book of Revelation, where the devil (government) will be able to number and track all people.

So the technology is here, but with many concerned, what exactly was the original intention of the research?

The microchip is a result of President Obama’s “BRAIN Initiative”, a “bold new research effort to revolutionize understanding of the human mind and uncover new ways to treat, prevent, and cure brain disorders like Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, autism, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury,” according

“We can’t afford to miss these opportunities while the rest of the world races ahead,” said Obama after his introduction of the initiative.

The program has developed the chip, through the combined efforts of the National Institute of Health, DARPA, the National Science Foundation, and several private sector partnerships. The “RFID Microchip” will essentially serve as one’s wallet or purse (ID card, insurance, past medical history and all) when going to the doctor.

While it is not a mandatory requirement under the new health care law, the mere presence of the ambiguously defined devices in the legislation has many Americans uneasy.

According to the law, the purpose of the chip, along with the establishment of “a national medical device registry,” is to “facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each covered device.” This includes class III devices, such as pacemakers, and class II devices.

So what is a class II device?

The FDA defines class II devices as “implantable radiofrequency transponder system for patient identification and health information.” In conjunction with mandates in electronic health record software (namely Epic), the devices seek to change the infrastructure of the American health care system by streamlining data and record transfer.

Certainly a job of epic proportion.

The following letter is from a couple in UTAH. They are voicing their feelings about COMMON CORE; the proposed federally backed educational bait and switch program of the United States government. I have much more to say, in the not too distant future on this topic.

When you read this letter to Governor Herbert of Utah, put, in place, the governor of your own state.

Sufficeth to say, this wonderfully worded letter from my Utah friends express my sentiments well. More detail to come soon.     Jim

Letter Re: My Concerns With Common Core

Dear Governor Herbert, Utah State School Board, State Superintendent Menlove, Attorney General Swallow, State Legislators, Local School Boards, et al.:As an involved parent, I am extremely concerned about the work my children are bringing home as a result of the Utah Common Core State Standards (“CCSS”). Below you will find some of my concerns.

First, my children are NOT merely bricks in a wall. They are unique and wonderful children! They have different strengths and weaknesses. My daughter – like her lawyer father – is more geared towards language, words, reading and logic. My son – like his college-educated mother – is more gifted in mathematics and science. My third son is a healthy mixture of the two. My daughter prefers to learn through practical examples and illustrations while my six year-old son likes to learn through straightforward facts and numbers. We cannot successfully parent and teach each of them the same way, so how do you propose that CCSS can successfully teach them and their unique classmates in the exact same manner?
Second, my children are overwhelmed with the amount of busy homework they have to complete when they get home from school. To begin with, the kids are awake from about 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. Of those 13 waking hours they are at school from 9:00 to 4:00. Then when they get home, they read for 25 minutes and take about 27 minutes to complete homework – and they are in 1st and 3rd grade!
I’ll make this really simple using the “Lattice Method”: there are 60 minutes in one hour and the kids are awake for 13 hours, so they are awake for 3×0 + 3×6 + 0x1 + 6×1 / / / hours. They spend 0x7 + 7×7 + 0x0 + 7×0 / / / at school. Then, they spend 25 + (27 + 3 = 30) = 45 – 3 = 42 minutes doing homework. That only leaves 780 (+20 to round to 800) minutes minus 420 (subtract 20 to round to 400) minus 42 (subtract 2 to round to 40) minutes to spend with their family and to just be kids and learn on their own. Yeah, that’s 800 – 400 = 400 minus 20 = 380 minus 20 = 360 minus 42 homework minutes (subtract 2 to round to 40) equals 320 minus 2 to get to 318 free minutes. It would be one thing if the homework stimulated their brains or if the work was preparing them for the real world, but it is full of mindless estimations and backward mathematical methods.

Third [I will give you 30 seconds to read this paragraph. If you do not read it in 30 seconds, you are not up to MY standards], there is an over-utilization of timed reading in the curriculum.  When I was in elementary school, I learned to read and comprehend what I was reading. I don’t know how many words I could read in a minute at each level, but I learned to read at a comfortable pace, while absorbing the material I was reading. Is there some time-sensitive aspect of the “global economy” that I don’t understand? I have lived in Southeast Asia and all over the United States, I have completed 20 years of education and have passed a Bar exam; I do not remember ever benefiting from being able to read something at the fastest pace possible with there being no inherent penalties/drawbacks for lack of comprehension. Why is this so important to state standards? You may have read this paragraph in 30 seconds, but did you comprehend it? It matters.
Fourth, as I mentioned above, I have lived in Asia and I have witnessed many of the school systems there. The students are generally sharp, disciplined and dedicated to their work. The work usually requires almost exclusively memorization and regurgitation. I often hear that the Asian education system is so wonderful and America is way behind in education because the kids in Asia score well on tests, but I don’t see a lot of innovation coming from those countries. Sure, they build iPhones and iPads efficiently and they produce many great products, but I don’t recall many breakthroughs coming from Asia. Am I wrong? They are good at following instructions and reproducing results, but I have found a huge inability to think outside the box, to interpret unique data, and to understand context. In my experience, many of them (generally) are followers, but not thinkers. Why would you want to create students like that here in America? It’s almost as if you are trying to create a generation of followers and not thinkers…
Fifth, I have an assignment for you. Assume that the Constitution of the United States is outdated and needs to be changed (that shouldn’t be too hard for some of you). You – a Federal government agency – want to develop a one-size-fits-all education system for the entire Nation, but the Constitution does not specifically grant that right to your agency. What would you add or take away from the Constitution in order to make this new standard system of education constitutional?
You will need to prioritize, prune and add text to turn your system into a constitutionally acceptable form of education. Then, propose a plan for how to get States to go along with your education program. Money is not an issue; you can promise them as much money as it takes, but you must get them signed up. Your proposal will be submitted in its final form as a persuasive presentation to the American people. They have been given the important individual charge – by their Creator – to educate their own children and, having partially delegated that responsibility to local school districts, will judge your proposal based on the validity and veracity of your arguments as to whether you have any right and/or ability to educate their children in the manner proposed. Your score will not be shared with you. We will keep your proposal in our database for future reference.

Sixth, suppose you are the Governor of Utah and in your 2012 gubernatorial election you received 624,678 votes, or 68.4%. Further suppose that during the Republican convention, you received 2,253 votes, or 57.67%. Now suppose that since your election your supporters, who oppose Common Core at the federal and state level, discover that you support Common Core at one or both of those levels. Suppose that these supporters are very serious about the education of their children and do not approve of their elected leaders supporting such a massive, radical form of standardized education. If (let’s put our estimation hats on) half of those supporters become former supporters and choose to vote for one of your Republican challengers instead of you, how many people would still support you in the convention and, if you survive the convention, how many Utahans would turn out to vote for you in the next election? The number is not important. The WHY is everything. As long as you understand WHY, maybe, just maybe you will survive in the Utah – not global – economy.

Thank you for your time and attention to our concerns. As parents of OUR children, my wife and I have the ultimate responsibility for educating OUR children and preparing them for the future. We take OUR responsibility very seriously. You, as public “servants,” work for US. If you do not serve the good of OUR children, we will relieve you of your post or we will remove our children from your collective, destructive influence.

Your Bosses,
The Halls

Ex-IRS Agent Sherry Peel Jackson Exposes IRS as Biggest Fraud of All

October 16, 2013 by Dean Garrison

Sherry Peel Jackson is a courageous woman. Her stand against her former employer, The Internal Revenue Service, landed her in federal prison for three years. Now that she is out she is even more determined to help conscious Americans renew their minds and control their own futures. In the video you are about to watch she will reveal a variety of concerns about her former employer such as illegal levies, illegal taxation, questionable enforcement policies, The Grace Commission findings, The Federal Reserve and Mr. Bill Conklin. This video is 16 minutes long, but everyone in America needs to see this.

I can personally attest to some of the things Sherry mentions in her video. Anyone who has been audited can, but we will save those war stories for another day.

taxes_irs_API’d like to touch briefly upon a couple of things Sherry Peel Jackson mentions in the video. Let’s talk about The Grace Commission of 1984. Sherry mentioned that this commission determined that none of the income tax collected was vital to the functioning of our government. Is this true? Absolutely. Check out what Wikipedia has to say about The Grace Commission Report:

The Private Sector Survey on Cost Control (PSSCC), commonly referred to as The Grace Commission, was an investigation requested by United States President Ronald Reagan, in 1982. The focus of it was waste and inefficiency in the US Federal government. Its head, businessman J. Peter Grace,[1] asked the members of that commission to “be bold” and “work like tireless bloodhounds. Don’t leave any stone unturned in your search to root out inefficiency.”[2]

The report

The Grace Commission Report[3] was presented to Congress in January 1984. The report claimed that if its recommendations were followed, $424 billion could be saved in three years, rising to $1.9 trillion per year by the year 2000. It estimated that the national debt, without these reforms, would rise to $13 trillion by the year 2000, while with the reforms they projected it would rise to only $2.5 trillion.[4] Congress ignored the commission’s report. The debt reached $5.8 trillion in the year 2000.[5][6] The national debt reached 13 trillion after the subprime mortgage-collateralized debt obligation crisis in 2008.

The report said that one-third of all income taxes are consumed by waste and inefficiency in the federal government, and another one-third escapes collection owing to the underground economy. “With two thirds of everyone’s personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal debt and by federal government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services [that] taxpayers expect from their government.”[4]

Sherry Peel Jackson also mentioned the ties between Rockefeller and a couple of major media outlets. Here is a really good video on the ties between the media and The Federal Reserve.

What is the most obvious way that Americans could hurt The Federal Reserve and the IRS? It would be through the abolishing of the IRS, thus cutting off the revenue generating arm of the FedTed Cruz wants to do just that. There is an obvious question of his eligibility to run for the nation’s highest office, but has anyone else noticed something peculiar?

A media that does not even bother to question Obama’s eligibility is already talking about the eligibility of Ted Cruz, and it’s not just the liberal media. It’s Fox News. Could Sherry Peel Jackson be correct? Does the Federal Reserve control the media to the point that they even control Fox News? I believe they do, but that is just one man’s opinion. It is strange that Cruz is an issue and Obama never was. And let’s not forget about Ron Paul, who was one of the few candidates who has ever had the guts to confront the Fed. You see where that landed him; not just the media but his own political party turned against him.

Sherry Peel Jackson mentioned a man named Bill Conklin and his $50,000 challenge which, to this day, has never been collected. I found one story of a man who sued him because he felt he had won Bill’s challenge, but the man lost in court.

I need you to understand that THINGS REALLY ARE THIS CORRUPT, and if you try to do what Jackson and Conklin have done, you are risking being sent to prison.

That said, unless we have more that are willing to stand up and fight like them, then the government will continue to throw the small minority of dissenters into jail cells all over the country. We must get loud enough that they simply don’t have room for all of us.

I leave you with the legendary Bill Conklin, who is a magnet for controversy, but he knows his stuff.

Interestingly enough, the deal includes over $2 billion in additional funding, on top of current capitalization, that will be headed to McConnell’s home state of Kentucky for the Olmstead Dam Lock in Paducah, KY. reports:

proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

The dam is considered an important project for the state and region in regards to water traffic along the Ohio River.

As The Courier-Journal’s James Bruggers reported in 2011, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said they needed about $2.1 billion for the locks due to “stop and go funding.”

Asked about the additional funding in the proposal, McConnell spokesman Robert Steurer directed all questions to lawmakers who worked on the bill directly.

I have no beef with the people of the great state of Kentucky, but Mitch McConnell makes me sick. Hundreds of millions of people were counting on Republicans to stand strong, and he sold us out for a dam and 30 pieces of silver.

The Senate passed the measure 81-18, and the House followed suit just a few hours later by a tally of 285-144. Both were landslide margins.

The Dallas News reports:

With the Treasury Department warning that it could run out of money to pay U.S. obligations within a day, the Senate voted overwhelmingly Wednesday evening, 81-16, to approve a proposal hammered out by the chamber’s Republican and Democratic leaders after the House on Tuesday was unable to move forward with any resolution. The House followed suit a few hours later, voting 285-144, to approve the Senate plan, which would fund the government through Jan. 15 and raise the debt limit through Feb. 7.

Most House Republicans opposed the bill, but 87 voted to support it. The breakdown showed that Republican leaders were willing to violate their informal rule against advancing bills that do not have majority Republican support in order to end the shutdown. All 198 Democrats voting supported the measure.

The Senate vote was 81-18 to my knowledge. That is simply a typo by the Dallas News. Either way whether 16 voted against or 18 doesn’t matter. It was a landslide in which a lot of republicans in both chambers voted for this deal.

So in the end the Democrats stuck to their guns as expected and the RINOs sold us out. Nothing was done about Obamacare and now America is stuck with broken promises from our Republican congressmen who vowed to find a way to defund and defeat Obamacare.

They bought into the hype of the default and blinked first. There was no compromise, to my knowledge, but at least Mitch McConnell got some money for a damn fine dam. In the end, these are the things that really matter to our legislators.

We will await for more details from all of the major news outlets and hope, likely in futility, that the Republicans got something for our side besides the dam. However, it’s not looking good.

Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst Call For Impeachment Of Obama

Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst called for the impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama during a Tarrant County Tea Party candidate forum on Monday.

According to the Texas Observer:

Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst

The crowd at Monday’s meeting of the Northeast Tarrant Tea Party got more than they bargained for. The event at Concordia Lutheran Church in the Fort Worth suburb of Bedford was originally planned so tea party members could learn about the Muslim Brotherhood’s supposed infiltration of the United States. But the crowd was also treated to a dose of the sniping that’s come to define the Texas lieutenant governor’s race — and saw the state’s second-highest elected official, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, call for President Obama’s impeachment and removal from office.

Dewhurst was the first lieutenant governor candidate to speak. Since losing a 2012 Senate primary to Ted Cruz in part because of his insufficient tea party cred, Dewhurst has been working hard to ingratiate himself with his party’s right wing. He’s reached out to, and won praise from, tea party leaders around the state. And given the chance to appeal to the Northeast Tarrant Tea Party, Dewhurst opened with the big guns.

“This election is about protecting you and your freedoms, which are given to you by God, but which are being trampled on by Barack Obama right now. I don’t know about you, but Barack Obama ought to be impeached,” he declared to hearty applause. “Not only for trampling on our liberties, but what he did in Benghazi is just a crime.”

Following the event, Dewhurst told the Observer, “I think this president, Barack Obama, has disregarded federal law. He’s tried to do things which are not authorized under federal law, such as with immigration, such as not following our federal drug laws. He’s created winners and losers out of Obamacare where he has no authority, such as allowing for the unions and big businesses to postpone their mandates for a year.”

He also added his concern about Benghazi.

“I’m very concerned about Benghazi, in which all of the national news reporting indicated that live video was streaming into the White House. That means that there was an overhead platform, probably a drone in the area. At least that’s what it tells me,” he said. “And for not mobilizing some response to protect the ambassador and those three Americans is just outrageous to me. Just outrageous.”

Dewhurst did clarify that he was speaking his personal opinion in the capacity of a private citizen, not in his role as Lieutenant Governor.

Additionally, a spokesperson for Dewhurst told the Texas Tribune believes that Obama took his role as president too far on issues like immigration and Obamacare, as well as his role, or lack of one, in the attacks in Benghazi, which left four Americans dead.

“He feels very strongly about the tragedy in Benghazi and has said that Congress should consider impeaching the President over the tragedy,” the spokesman told the Tribune. “David Dewhurst also believes that President Obama should be held accountable for Washington’s failure to secure the border and the gross overreach of the federal government under Obamacare.”

While I’m glad to hear Dewhurst take this stand, I do have to wonder at his motives, especially in light of the spineless way he dealt with the TSA situation back in 2012.

The Federal Reserve’s War On Seniors

The Federal Reserve’s zero interest rate policy (ZIRP) of the past half dozen years or so has been a financial act of war on the country’s seniors and, for that matter, on all savers. Under ZIRP, interest rates are artificially lowered through the Fed’s monetary policy popularly known as “QE,” quantitative easing.

The primary reason for this is twofold: first, to allow the Federal government to borrow money at next to nothing in order to maintain its current gargantuan level of spending; and, second, to prop up the Nation’s insolvent banking system, which can continue to engage in all sorts of reckless speculations.

ZIRP is extremely hard on seniors who, for the most part, can no longer rely on earnings through employment income, but have to live on their accumulated wealth. Instead of reaping the rewards for a lifetime of frugal behavior, seniors are being systematically fleeced by the Fed’s action.

ZIRP is actually “class warfare” — not in the Marxist/socialist sense of “labor versus capital,” but in its surreptitious redistribution of wealth from savers (retirees) to the government and politically well-connected financial elites. Moreover, the Fed’s action is turning seniors into a dependent class whose members are no longer able to sustain a reasonable standard of living.

Not only are retirees and savers punished by ZIRP, but the policy is quite destructive to the entire economy since low interest rates discourage savings, which are key to economic growth. Savings provide the means (capital) for production. Without savings, lengthier and more complex production processes will not take place. The personal saving rate in the United States has plummeted for years, with the current level at about 4 percent of disposable income.

The amount of savings is also crucial for the level of employment and wage rates. Greater savings allows entrepreneurs to hire additional labor plus offer higher wage rates. Policies such as ZIRP have destroyed the savings pool not only in the United States but throughout the Western world, which explains, in part, the persistent high levels of unemployment and stagnating wages. Organized labor should be at the forefront in opposing ZIRP.

ZIRP reduces seniors’ standard of living in another devastating sense. To keep interest rates below market levels, the Fed has to purchase larger and larger amounts of U.S. government bonds. Since the Fed has no assets of its own, it must create money to buy the debt (“monetizing the debt”). This, of course, is inflation, the nasty consequence of which is a rise in the price of consumer goods.

For seniors, not only are they receiving little reward for saving which diminishes their capacity to remain self-sufficient, but the money they do have, because of the Fed’s policy, is worth less and less. John Williams of Shadow Statistics has shown that consumer price inflation over the past year has ranged between 5 percent and 10 percent, far above the government’s estimates.

ZIRP and other such measures are the reasons for the creation of a dependent society where reward for hard work and thrift is being systematically undermined for the benefit of a Leviathan state and the financially privileged. The policy has other societal repercussions as younger generations are coming to realize that since prudent behavior will not be rewarded, they will engage in more present-oriented lifestyles. Can there be any doubt that contemporary America’s hedonistic society has resulted, in part, from the punishment of future-oriented behavior.

Less than the abolition of the Fed and a return to a commodity-based monetary order, the solution to the current financial plight of seniors and the economy in general is for the Fed to immediately suspend ZIRP, which would allow interest rates to rise to “normal levels.” Not only would retirees benefit, but the higher rates would induce greater savings, which would eventually spur real and sustainable economic growth.

Unfortunately for seniors, until the Fed’s interest rate policy is reversed, their retirement will be a lot less prosperous than anticipated, as the years of toil and sacrifice will have been for naught. As with so many aspects of the American dream, the golden years are becoming a thing of the past.
